Information stored on your device

Plot Twisted uses browser storage to remember:

• Your keyboard-layout and sound settings.
• Your best scores by game category.
• Whether you have completed a round, so returning visits can open the game directly.
• Your analytics choice, so the site can continue respecting it.
• Cached game files that help the progressive web app load reliably and work like an installed app.

This information stays in your browser. You can remove it by clearing Plot Twisted's site data in your browser settings or uninstalling the web app.

Optional Google Analytics

Plot Twisted uses Google Analytics 4 only after you choose “Allow analytics.” Until permission is granted, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded and no analytics information is sent to Google.

When allowed, Analytics may measure page views, general traffic source, browser and device category, approximate geographic region, install interactions, game-category starts, completed rounds, scores, shares, and feedback-form submission type.

Plot Twisted does not send your typed guesses, clue text, feedback message, proposed clue, contact information, or other free-text form fields to Analytics. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization remain disabled.

You can review or change your choice using the “Analytics choices” control in the site footer. Declining analytics does not affect the game.

Information you choose to submit

The in-game Feedback & Clue Box can collect the fields you choose to complete, including feedback type, message, proposed movie clue, category, movie title, and optional contact information.

Feedback submissions are delivered through Netlify Forms. Do not include sensitive personal information in a submission. Contact information is optional and is used only when a reply is appropriate.

What Plot Twisted does not currently use

• No player accounts or login system.
• No advertising network, behavioral advertising, or personalized ads.
• No payment processing.
• No sale of personal information.
• No analytics collection when permission is declined.

Third-party services

Netlify hosts the site, delivers files, runs lightweight site functions, and processes optional form submissions. Netlify may process technical request information as part of providing those services. You can review Netlify's privacy policy.

Google Analytics provides optional usage measurement after consent. You can review Google's privacy policy.

Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used by the game and landing page. When those fonts load, the browser may connect to Google's servers. You can review Google's privacy policy.

Children's privacy

Plot Twisted does not require personal information to play and is not designed to create profiles about children. Players under 13 should not submit contact information or other personal details through the feedback form without permission from a parent or guardian.

Your choices

• Play without installing the app.
• Allow or decline optional analytics without changing game access.
• Change your analytics choice through the footer control.
• Clear local settings and high scores through your browser's site-data controls.
• Skip the feedback form entirely.
• Request deletion of a prior feedback submission by using the feedback form again and including the same contact detail used in the original submission.

Changes to this policy

This page will be updated if Plot Twisted adds accounts, advertising, payments, or another feature that materially changes how information is handled. The effective date at the top will change when the policy changes.
